New episode of Off-Awful! Filming wrapped for ‘The Long Short’! Another fabulous ‘GUT’ review! Woo Hoo! (that rhymed..) :D

I am so excited to be back for another episode of Off-Awful!  A brilliantly funny web series devoted to the trials and tribulations of actors following their dreams in the big apple..

Check out the pilot episode that I had the opportunity to be a part of below!

Filming has officially wrapped for ‘The Long Short‘ written and directed by the wonderful Shabazz Ray!  To see more about the project, check out the Indiegogo video below!

A GREAT new perspective on ‘Gut‘ that even I had not really taken into consideration, only until after reading this insightful review..

“This is both social commentary and horror – the eroticism of death and the general desensitized populace that is modern Western society. The problem with horror films in 2013 is that they have a hard time competing with the real horrors that we see every day – gunmen opening fire on schools, whack jobs planting bombs at popular and prestigious events, planes full of gasoline being flown deliberately into buildings full of people, terrorists strapping bombs to their chest and setting them off on city buses. How is a vampire or a werewolf compete with that when there are monsters everywhere with human faces? Gut actually explores that a little bit and modestly at that. I found it to be disturbing and provocative and, if you’ll pardon the pun, a cut above most horror films that are out there.”

(currently in post)  Any actor is lucky to have such a brilliant cast and crew!!  😀

ENDTIMES PRODUCTIONS FUN-DRAISER!

WE DID IT!  We successfully raised $9,225 to fund 2011’s Vignettes for the Apocalypse!!!

As most of you probably already know, we hit $9,150 at 1AM this morning.  Congratulations to everyone who helped out, pitched in, worked the phones, sent the e-mails, and did all the other million things involved in making this campaign a success.  It was really amazing to see this company of bright, talented people turn their creativity and energy towards fundraising with the same intelligence and determination that we bring to our work, and succeed beyond all expectations.  Thank you very, very much.  EndTimes has faced many challenges in its history and we’ve always adjusted course to meet them, but never have we had to change our basic assumptions and operating procedures so drastically and so quickly, with our very survival on the line.  The fact that we did so with such success tells me, and should tell all of you, that we can do anything we set our minds to.

A few special mentions are in order, for Cheri Paige, and Becky, who came up with the idea, set it in motion, and broke their asses making it come together; Matthew who masterfully applied his Spock-like logic to the problem of pulling in the most money from the greatest number of people in the shortest amount of time at the fundraiser, and helped bring in the most money we’ve ever made for a fundraising event; Alessandro who held all the nuts and bolts together as he has since the first day we crawled out of the slime and cried to the skies, “we are legion!”;  Sarah, who hit up everyone she’s ever met anywhere at any time for money, right down to the doctor who delivered her; and lastly, but not leastly, Mr. Leal Vona, who really never stopped working on the campaign.  I mean fucking never.  I would call him at 9AM, and he’d still be up from the night before designing e-mail blasts.  We all owe them a serious debt of gratitude.

This season has been something of an adolescence for the company, and with this campaign we’ve taken a strong step into the territory of the big, grown-up, professional company.  I know we will look back on the “talented amateur” days with nostalgia down the line when the lawyers and managers start getting involved, but those are good problems to have, and problems that most companies don’t last long enough, or rise high enough to worry about.  I’ve never been more confident that those days will come, and I’ve never been more proud to be a part of this incredibly talented group of people.

DAY 1 COMPLETE!!!

Day 1 complete!!!  Below are
some additional photos from the make-up test in addition to the photos
for set design…  These photos crack me up.  I was introduced to
Michael, and then Rory, the director, says "Ok guys, come on outside,
we’re going to take your wedding photos."  The things people don’t
think about when it comes to film…  The tiniest of details put in
place to help the viewer believe that these two people who just met the
same month have a loving lifetime of a history together…  I was also
wearing black skivvies that day hence the strategically placed
magnet…  😉  ha ha!

Making of ‘Alone’ Blog!!

Excerpt from writer/director of the new film ‘Alone’ set to start filming Saturday, August 7th:

About a month and a half ago, Drunkzombie.com posted an article entitled Support Indie Horror Films – Alone.  The article was to help raise funds for low budget horror film called, obviously, Alone.  The article may passed by unnoticed by some of you but I certainly took note, mainly because Alone
happens to be my film.  After many years of directing short films I’m
stepping up to the plate and trying my hand at a feature.  Now with
less than a week to go before we start shooting, Bryan and the gang
have ask me to do a weekly feature sharing the experience of making a
movie to you all.

NAKED HOLIDAYS 2009!

EndTimes Productions Presents

Naked Holidays NYC ’09 – Fear of a Black Santa @ Ace Of Clubs

December 2nd – December 20th 2009
9 Great Jones Street, NYC 10012

New York – More singing! More dancing! More naked! For all the non-traditional purveyors of holiday mischief and merriment, let nothing dismay you this holiday season. EndTimes Productions will present the Third Annual Naked Holidays NYC this December, a gleeful pageant filled with indulgent tidings.
Originally conceived by the Sacred Fools Theater Company of Los Angeles, Naked Holidays is a darkly comic Yuletide bacchanalia fit for Samson himself. George Larkin’s opening is a boisterous reaction to some of the most popular holiday images; delving into the hilarious customs of our best loved winter holidays, and the pagan traditions celebrated nowadays as Christmas. Yet not even the Olympics delivers like this multicultural mélange which climaxes in a scantily clad routine that looks a lot like Christmas. This year’s medley showcases new works that explore deadly plots by Santa’s eight angry reindeer against Rudolph and Rudnick (oh yes, Rudnick), a traditional Jewish nativity scene, a wholesome dad hiding a suspiciously jolly body bag, a belligerently randy hooker working the North Pole, and a bone-crunching table-smashing romp with everybody’s favorite rotund holiday hero THE ANNIHILATORRRR- yes, all in one evening of theater. Bells are encouraged.
The Naked Holidays Orchestra adds a musical flair to the show, and there will be eggnog served (provided the cast hasn’t gotten to it first). – A perfect way to end the company holiday happy hour, or to pre-game for a night out or a trip home. All are welcome to luxuriate in their favorite proclivities when Naked Holidays NYC opens December 2.

“New ways to holiday! Shake up your December… EndTimes Productions presents Naked Holidays NYC.”-Time Out New York
